Philippines Building Collapse: Rescue Turns Into Recovery in Angeles

Rescue teams in the northern Philippines have ended search operations for 17 people trapped under a collapsed building in Angeles City.

At least four people have been confirmed dead. Twenty-seven survivors were pulled from the rubble after a construction building collapsed before dawn on Sunday.

Despite earlier signs of life detected by thermal sensors, authorities later concluded that no further human signals remained. The operation has now shifted from rescue to recovery as officials investigate the cause of the collapse.

Families of the missing say they are devastated but are now focused on bringing their loved ones home.
