Immigration Protests | Ramaphosa urges for calm & respect of rule of law

President Cyril Ramaphosa has defended government's efforts to tackle illegal immigration, strengthen law enforcement and address instability within the country's security agencies. Responding to oral questions in the National Council of Provinces, the president also moved to reassure South Africans ahead of calls for action against undocumented migrants on 30 June. Ramaphosa says government remains focused on maintaining stability while rooting out corruption and criminality within the state.
