* President Cyril Ramaphosa has reassured South Africans that government remains focused on maintaining security and stability ahead of calls for action against undocumented migrants on the 30th of June. Ramaphosa was responding to oral questions in the National Council of Provinces.

* The Department of Home Affairs says most foreign nationals who are in South Africa illegally did not enter through porous borders. Instead, they arrived legally but remain in the country after their permits expired.

* Western Cape SAPS says incitement of violence by any person will not be tolerated ahead of the expected June 30 demonstrations. They have urged the public to not take the law into their own hands.

* South Africa says its policy of non-alignment should not be mistaken for neutrality. The Department of International Relations and Cooperation was responding to recent remarks attributed to the United States Ambassador to South Africa.

* Capetonians have heaped praise on Bafana Bafana for progressing to the second round of the FIFA World Cup taking place in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Bafana beat South Korea by one goal to nil, to grab all three points and finish ahead of South Korea and Czechia on the log.
