Heatwave across western Europe putting people's health at risk, warns WHO

A severe heatwave has gripped Europe with authorities issuing alerts across much of the region, warning of risks to health, transport networks and public services. Britain broke its record for June as the mercury hit 36.1 degrees Celsius and hundreds of schools remain closed for a second day.
