UN inquiry finds Israel targeted Gaza children, resulting in genocide

An independent United Nations (UN) commission found that Israel deliberately targeted Palestinian children in Gaza resulting in genocide and crimes against humanity. The commission also found that Israel had committed  war crimes in the West Bank.

The report by the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and Israel also found that militant group Hamas had repeatedly committed "grave abuses" against Palestinians in Gaza.

Israel's mission in Geneva has since said Israel rejected what it called the Commission's "second defamatory advocacy report" and a "libellous sham".

The Commission's members are independent experts and its investigative reports do not reflect the official stance of the United Nations as a whole, according to the UN. #news
