2026 Local Polls | Alliance partner battle seemingly far from being over

The SACP says it has been blindsided by the ANC, accusing the governing party of acting in bad faith and taking punitive measures against it.

The ANC will within a week send out letters to all its members who are also members of the SACP, asking them to clarify which party they will campaign for.

The SACP says it was not aware of the ANC NEC's decision as it was not communicated during their bilateral meeting earlier this week.
