Van Reenen Coetzee bail hearing postponed to Monday

The family of slain Emfuleni Municipality finance official, Martha Rantsofu, is pleading with fraud-accused Janitha van Reenen Coetzee to reveal the truth.

Van Reenen Coetzee allegedly pocketed more than R400 000 that the Emfuleni Municipality paid out for claims she submitted on behalf of residents.

It is believed she may have information about who was behind Rantsofu's death, after the official allegedly raised concerns about suspicious claims.

The accused has appeared in the Vanderbijlpark Magistrate's Court. The case has been postponed to next week.
