At least 25 killed in Sri Lanka prison riot, dozens injured

At least 25 inmates were killed and around 100 others injured after violent clashes erupted between two groups of prisoners at a prison in Sri Lanka's coastal town of Negombo on Sunday (Jul 5).

The cause of the clashes was not immediately known. On Monday, body bags were seen being removed from the prison as authorities continued their investigation into the violence. #srilanka #srilankanews
