SABC marks 9 decades of broadcasting

The South African Broadcasting Corporation has become one of the most trusted global broadcasters.

Since 1936, the SABC has been serving millions of citizens through informational, educational and entertaining programming.

It has accompanied South Africans through defining moments in the country's history, including the 1994 Democratic elections to being the official broadcaster of the FIFA World Cup 2026.

To mark these milestones and celebrate 90 years of SABC, we are joined by the SABC Board Chairperson, Dr Khathutshelo Ramukumba, Chairperson SABC Board and the SABC Group Chief Executive Officer, Nomsa Chabeli.
