The safety, security, and welfare of Indian nationals in the region remain the Government’s highest priority. Close coordination is being maintained with state governments, Union Territories, and Indian missions, supported by a dedicated control room and round-the-clock helplines to assist citizens and issue timely advisories.Missions are actively engaging with the Indian community, providing consular support, and coordinating with local authorities, with special focus on the welfare and repatriation of Indian seafarers.Air connectivity remains operational where airspace permits. Flights continue from countries including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, and Bahrain, while alternative routes are being facilitated from regions with restrictions. Notably, 12 Indian seafarers stranded in Iraq have been successfully repatriated: Aseem R. Mahajan, Additional Secretary (Gulf), Ministry of External Affairs
