LGE 2026 | Condolences following ANC councillor Mleve’s killing

An ANC ward councillor in the Nelson Mandela Bay metro was shot dead shortly after voter registration closed on Saturday.

Sicelo Mleve was the councillor for ward 27.

The ANC says he was shot dead at his ward office.

Ward 27 covers a section of Zwide and Soweto-on-Sea in Gqeberha.

The motive for the murder is not known yet.
