Deputy IG Lagat warns against violence during June 25th commemorative protests

Deputy Inspector General of Police Eliud Lagat has assured Kenyans that adequate security measures have been put in place ahead of the June 25 commemorative demonstrations. Lagat said the National Police Service will protect the constitutional right to peaceful assembly but warned that any acts of violence, vandalism or disruption of public order will be dealt with firmly.
