LGE 2026 | Voter Registration Weekend Day 2: Update from Lichtenburg, North West

We continue with our IEC voter registration coverage, with the final day of the Independent Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC)'s Nationwide Voter Registration Weekend underway, and voting stations open across the country.

The IEC says the two-day drive is aimed at strengthening participation in the electoral process, and is particularly encouraging young and first-time voters to ensure they are correctly captured on the voters' roll
