Nawrocki revokes Zelenskyy White Eagle honor over historical row | World News Tonight

- Polish President Karol Nawrocki has decided to strip his Ukrainian counterpart of the Order of the White Eagle, the highest state award, due to the controversial naming of one Ukraine's military unit's to “Heroes of UPA”. The UPA, or Ukraine's Insurgent Army, is responsible for the massacre of more than a 100 thousand Poles during World War 2. The President's decision comes after Prime Minister Donald Tusk attempted to ease the tensions between Warsaw and Kyiv.

- Jordan Bardella, one of the leaders of the French far-right National Rally and its presidential hopeful, met with the leader of the biggest Polish opposition party Law and Justice in Warsaw. Bardella is building a large front of support among like-minded European politicians ahead of the crucial presidential vote in France next year.

- Ukraine has issued an ultimatum to Belarus. Kyiv wants the Lukashenko regime to dismantle drone guidance infrastructure which enables strikes on Ukrainian cities. If Minsk fails to do so within a week, Ukraine threatens to attack Belarus. Ukraine threatens to attack Belarus.
