The French National Assembly has unanimously passed a bill on the restitution of looted colonial-era cultural artifacts, particularly those taken between 1815 and 1972. After the French Senate's also unanimous vote at the end of January, the legislation will now be examined in a joint committee to harmonize positions between both chambers.
