NParks to repurpose 5 kampong houses on Pulau Ubin to strengthen island's heritage

Five vacant kampong houses on Pulau Ubin will be repurposed for commercial and community use. The National Parks Board says it expects to award a tender for consultancy for design works by the end of 2026. Two of the houses will be earmarked for community use, while three are for commercial use. The project is part of efforts to strengthen the island's heritage value, so future generations can continue to experience kampung life on Ubin. Natalie Ong with the details.
