Addressing the nation from the Red Fort on Independence Day, PM Narendra Modi highlighted the growing role of women in India’s transformation — from semiconductor manufacturing and STEM to civil aviation, sports and the armed forces.

India has surpassed the 3 crore Lakhpati Didi target and is now aiming for 6 crore.

Under the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, PM Modi called for 33% representation for women in the Lok Sabha and Legislative Assemblies.
