Floods cause devastation in some parts of South Africa

Severe flooding has once again caused widespread devastation across parts of the Western Cape, Eastern Cape and North West, leaving communities displaced, roads damaged, and critical infrastructure under pressure.

As emergency teams respond to the humanitarian crisis, questions are also being raised about climate change, disaster preparedness, and the country's ageing infrastructure.
