PSC on DSD Minister Sisisi Tolashe sacking

Minister in the Presidency for Women, Children and Persons with Disabilities, Sindisiwe Chikunga, is replacing Social Development Minister Sisissi Tolashe who was fired by the President today.

Since her cabinet appointment in June 2024, Tolashe's tenure has been marred by controversy and corruption allegations.

Among them is the Chinese vehicles scandal, where she reportedly took ownership of two luxury SUVs that were donated to the ANC Women's League, an organisation she leads.
