Former American diplomat identifies challenges facing China-US relations

Daniel Russel, former US assistant secretary of state for East Asian and Pacific Affairs, points out that there still remain persistent risks undermining the "constructive strategic stability" of China-US relations. He stresses that the top priority for both nations now is to break mutual mistrust through sustained, in-depth and practical institutional communications with genuine "listening and learning" from both sides.
