SAPS National Commissioner General Fannie Masemola to appear in court

National Police Commissioner General Fannie Masemola is expected to appear in the Pretoria Magistrates' Court later this morning.

Masemola was summoned to the court by the National Prosecutions Authority in relation to the multi-million rand Medicare24 irregular tender linked to Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala.

Masemola is linked to an investigation into an allegedly irregular contract for health and wellness services for police officers.
