Clashes erupt in Alice Springs after suspect arrested in girl's death #worldnow

Crowds clashed with police outside Alice Springs Hospital after a 47-year-old suspect was arrested in connection with the alleged abduction and killing of a five-year-old girl known as Kumanjayi Little Baby. The child's body was found after a five-day search, and police said the suspect had been beaten unconscious by locals before being taken to the hospital. Hundreds then gathered outside, demanding he be handed over, while the girl's family and community leaders urged calm and called for justice to take its course.
