New SCDF marine headquarters boosts emergency response at sea

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) now has its first standalone headquarters for fire and rescue missions at sea. The Marine Division's new facility will provide a more coordinated response during major incidents, from large ship fires to hazardous-material emergencies. It will also boost training for both SCDF officers and members of the maritime community, including ferry operators. Noah Kong reports.
