Madlanga Commission | Suspended KZN Hawks head Lesetja Senona takes the stand once again

Suspended KwaZulu-Natal Hawks Head Lesetja Senona is expected back at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry at the Brigitte Mabandla Justice College in Pretoria this morning.

His testimony was previously postponed after his legal counsel fell ill.
Senona is expected to answer questions on the circumstances surrounding the theft of 541 kilograms of cocaine from the Hawks offices in Port Shepstone in 2021.

Questions have been raised at the Commission about why the Hawks' offices were chosen as the preferred storage facility, despite inadequate security and surveillance measures.

Senona, who has previously testified before the Commission, admitted that he did not personally verify the suitability or security of the facility.
