Learning at some schools in Disaneng village near Mahikeng has been severely disrupted following heavy rains that caused a local river to burst its banks and the nearby Disaneng Dam to flood. The rising waters have physically separated the community from critical educational facilities, including Ipeleng Primary and Jan Masibi Secondary School. Community members have highlighted the dire situation, where inaccessible roads and flooded crossings have left many learners unable to attend classes safely.
