NEA working to boost collection of paper, cardboard from homes, businesses

Singapore's falling recycling rate is prompting a review of its Zero Waste Masterplan which targets 70% by 2030. The National Environment Agency is already stepping up efforts to tackle overflowing recycling bins and contamination. It includes working with public waste collectors to increase paper and cardboard collection from homes and businesses. Charlotte Lim finds out what really ends up inside Singapore's blue recycling bins. CNA also conducted a street poll to see if the general public is aware of what can and cannot be recycled. And joining us to share his insights is Lionel Dorai. He’s the Executive Director of Zero Waste SG - a non-profit organisation focused on reducing waste and promoting a circular economy.
