July 2021 Unrest | Trial of 62 alleged instigators begins

The trial of 62 alleged instigators of the July 2021 unrest, is set to commence in the Durban High Court today.

The accused face multiple charges, including terrorism, sedition, conspiracy to commit murder and incitement to commit public violence. The State alleges they orchestrated the widespread public violence and unrest that erupted in July 2021.
