India’s Big Parachute Test @ 22,000 ft #DRDO #defencetechnology

India successfully tests its indigenous Military Combat Parachute System (MCPS) at an extreme high altitude drop zone in Nyoma, Ladakh.

ADRDE, DRDO test jumpers executed the jump from 22,000 feet in temperatures of −15°C, using the indigenous parachute system along with a para computer, oxygen system and jumpsuits. The parachute deployed at 20,000 feet, followed by a safe landing at 13,700 feet.

The successful trial demonstrates MCPS’ reliability and tactical capability in extreme high altitude conditions.
