Diplomatic breakthroughs regarding US-Iran conflict expected to dominate G7 Summit in France

G7 Leaders are meeting in Evian-les-Bains, on the shores of Lake Geneva in France for the G7 Summit.

The US, Israeli war on Iran is expected to dominate discussions after Washington and Tehran announced a preliminary deal to end the conflict.

The G7 Summit is taking place amid unease among allies over President Donald Trump's tariff threats, and questions about the U.S. commitment to the global order.

The leaders will also seek common ground on the war in Ukraine, and discuss global economic imbalances, and sourcing critical minerals outside of China.
