Flamingos, sea turtles, political power, and a luxury resort backed by the Trump family are at the center of one of Albania’s most unusual protest movements.

While Prime Minister Edi Rama defends the project as a boost for tourism and investment, critics warn it could threaten protected wetlands, flamingo habitats, and one of the country’s last untouched coastlines.
