President Cyril Ramaphosa's urgent bid to interdict the commencement of the impeachement inquiry against him pending the review into the Section 89 independent panel report, will be heard on the 15 -16 of July 2026 in the Western Cape Division of the High Court in Cape Town.
In May, the President launched a review of the Phala Phala report, which said that he may have a case to answer regarding the theft of foreign currecncy from his farm in Limpopo in February 2020.
The President has also launched a separate review application to set aside the Section 89 independent panel report (Phala Phala farm scandal), which is scheduled to be heard from 2 to 4 September 2026.
