Youth Day 2026 | Artistic expression and discourse with Mak Manaka

This is one of the peoms that will most probably be rendered today at the Sawubona Music Jam where poet, writer and overall activist, Mak Manaka will be performing.

Mak is like cultural royalty being the child of the late playwrite, Matsemela Manaka and celebrated dancer, Nomsa Manaka.

Mak holds a Master's degree in creative writing, he is a poet, writer, creative director and runs creative writing classes around the country.
