Leading economies urged to focus on human rights

As G7 leaders convene in Évian-les-Bains, France, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Türk, has urged the world's leading economies to place human rights at the heart of their deliberations.

Addressing the Human Rights Council in Geneva, Türk warned that escalating conflicts across the globe continue to exact a devastating human cost.
