A viral video shows a man standing still as a bear cub approaches within centimeters, sniffing his legs. He does not react until the animal moves in front of him, then runs back to his car. The moment was filmed by another tourist and quickly spread online, sparking debate over whether he was not paying attention or made a risky choice to stay calm.

Authorities have long warned about the growing number of bear sightings in the area. Yet many visitors continue to approach wild animals, ignoring basic safety guidelines.
