Youth Month | Young artists in Limpopo face challenges

A group of young artists from Mankweng in Limpopo have turned to Lekompo dancing, music, film and the visual arts to venture into the promising entertainment industry.

The switch is also as an escape from crime, hopelessness and despair, and an attempt to gain additional skills.

The group aims to perform on some of the country's biggest stages.

One of the young artists' goals is to earn a living from the arts.

They have however, highlighted several challenges, including not having access to a rehearsal centre due to limited funding.
