SAPS June 16th | Flying high with Sergeant Siphosethu Tyuwa

As South Africa commemorates 50 years since the June 16 Uprising, young people continue to break barriers and contribute to nation-building.
Among them is 35-year-old Sergeant Siphosethu Tyuwa, an airborne law enforcement officer and drone operator with the Eastern Cape SAPS Air Wing. Her specialised skills in drone technology have assisted police in crime-fighting operations, helping secure arrests and monitor hard-to-reach areas, in a field where women remain under-represented.
