The President very often limits government policy by blocking government legislation through presidential vetoes. The center of gravity of the political and personal dispute in Poland has shifted from the conflict between the leaders of the two largest parties, the Civic Coalition (KO) and Law and Justice (PiS) – Donald Tusk and Jarosław Kaczyński – to strengthening the position on the right-wing political scene with the conflict now evolving around President Nawrocki and Prime Minister Tusk.
