Magnitude 6.3 quake strikes off Japan's Miyagi PrefectureーNHK WORLD-JAPAN NEWS

A strong earthquake has struck northeastern Japan. The Japan Meteorological Agency says the magnitude 6.3 quake occurred off the coast of Miyagi Prefecture, and had an intensity of lower 5 on the Japanese scale of 0 to 7 in the hardest-hit areas.
