Limpopo MEC warns against illegal initiation schools

Limpopo MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Basikopo Makamu, has issued a stern warning to potential operators of illegal initiation schools in the province.

This after the Province Initiation Coordinating Committee rejected 186 applications for initiation schools for failing to comply with the Customary Initiation Act.

Makamu says law enforcement authorities will shut down all illegal initiation schools and prosecute offenders.
