11th Tsietsi Donald Mashinini Memorial Lecture

Morris Isaacson High School Alumni, the Morris Isaacson High School administration, and the Mashinini Family invite you to partner with us for the 11th Tsietsi Donald Mashinini Memorial Lecture. As South Africa commemorates the 50th Anniversary of the June 16 Soweto Uprising in 2026, the organisers have chosen a theme that reflects on the state of education five decades later.

For the past 11 years of running the lecture we have enjoyed the privilege of national broadcaster partnering with us for the 9 years of running the lecture. This year 2026 as we will be commemorating 50 years of the June 16 Uprising we hope this year the broadcaster will yet again partner with us to jointly mark this milestone with your viewers across the nation. Noting the historic moments of 1976 how the school Morris Isaacson and its student leader Tsietsi Mashinini and his peers placed us in the cusp of history.
