India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi is heading to Europe this weekend to hold bilateral talks with the French president and Slovakian prime minister as well as participate in the G7 summit. He will be holding bilateral talks with French president Emmanuel Macron, in which innovation and defence could be high on the agenda. But all eyes will be on whether the Indian leader and US President Donald Trump meet on the sidelines of the G7 summit as both nations navigate a turbulent relationship.
