State of Municipal finances concerning: SCOPA Chairperson, Songezo Zibi

Parliament's Standing Committee on Public Accounts (SCOPA) conducted oversight hearings with several metros, including City of Johannesburg, eThekwini, and Ekurhuleni.

In these sessions, metro officials were questioned over deteriorating audit outcomes, multibillion-rand irregular expenditures, unfunded budgets, and delayed infrastructure projects.
