Protesters clash with police in China over alleged dog abuse

A man accused of abusing and killing adopted dogs has triggered public outrage in China, with more than 100 people gathered outside a Chongqing apartment block from Sunday (Jun 7) demanding action.
Authorities say the 39-year-old man has since been taken into custody. The incident has also reignited debate over China's lack of animal cruelty laws.
