The Australian dollar fell near its lowest level in two months after US President Donald Trump threatened to launch further attacks on Iran.
Though the local currency and ASX 200 recovered much of their initial losses after US Central Command said it had "completed" its additional strikes against Iran.
Meanwhile, US inflation jumped 4.2 per cent, its highest level in three years — thanks to the Iran war. When asked about it, Mr Trump told reporters: "The numbers look great" and "I love the inflation". Presented by David Chau.
