Russian propaganda has a strange way of admitting defeat while pretending everything is under control. In this episode of Break the Fake, host Benjamin Lee looks at Oleg Pakholkov’s call for the Kremlin to apply economic pressure on Armenia, Alexander Lukashenko’s praise for Russia as an “island of justice,” and a Russian politician’s reported call for a nuclear strike on Ukraine. Moscow claims its influence is being “stolen” by the West, but its own rhetoric keeps showing why its neighbours are looking elsewhere.
