Madlanga commission hears testimony from Witness I: Canny Maphanga reports

Witness I, a member of the Hawks' Tactical Operations Management Section (TOMS), has conceded before the Madlanga Commission that he does not know which prescripts gave him authority to take over the Aeroton drug scene.
Witness I was among the police officers who sought to take control of the Aeroton drug bust, where more than 700 kilograms of cocaine were seized.
He told the commission Chairperson, Justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga, that he was unaware of any SAPS or DPCI prescripts that empowered him to assume control of the scene.
