KZN MEC Mbali Shinga expelled from NFP

The National Freedom Party's KwaZulu-Natal chairperson Mbali Shinga has been expelled from the party after she was found guilty of misconduct and gross insubordination.

This follows Shinga's defiance of an instruction to support the motion of no confidence tabled by the opposition uMkhonto weSizwe party against KZN Premier Thami Ntuli in the legislature in December last year.

She was suspended pending the outcome of a disciplinary hearing.
