Mangaung faces land demand after court ruling

Pressure is mounting on the Mangaung Metro for allocation of sites as thousands seek land. The Metro is faced with over 70 000 residents who are seeking sites. And a backlog of people who have been on a waiting list for more than 10 years. This follows the Free State High Court ruling which dismissed the DA application to halt the Metro's processes of preparing land. The party accused the Metro of unlawfully and prematurely preparing the land for occupation.
