Mpumalanga top cop alleges SAPS interference

Suspended Mpumalanga Police Commissioner Lieutenant-General Daphney Semakaleng Manamela has accused senior police officials of sidelining her in an attempt to interfere with sensitive investigations in the province.

Speaking during a media briefing, Manamela alleged that widespread case mismanagement and corruption have taken root within provincial SAPS structures.
