#UNSC | India Raises Concerns Over Civilian Safety in Afghanistan

At the UN Security Council, India’s Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish strongly condemned Pakistan’s actions in Afghanistan, highlighting concerns over civilian casualties caused by airstrikes and cross-border attacks.

Citing UNAMA data, Ambassador Harish noted the devastating impact on Afghan civilians and reiterated the need to uphold international humanitarian law and ensure the protection of innocent lives.

He stated that “dressing up a massacre as a military operation does not absolve the perpetrator” and rejected attempts to shift blame onto neighbouring countries. India also called out Pakistan’s use of misinformation and disinformation to deflect attention from its internal challenges.
